proud you are my brother

To the one who sweats in the fields under the scorching sun so his family can eat while he sleeps hungry.To the one who embraces his daughter in her time of despair. To the one who holds his mothers hand and smiles at his father. To the one whose wife feels safe with him. To the one who takes the bullet for justice. To the one who protects his womenfolk unassumingly. To the thousands who’ve shed their blood. To the one who marches with just a shirt and remains fearless in the face of cruel guns. To my many brothers in Egypt, in Libya, in Yemen, in Bahrain and my beloved Palestinians. I'm your sister; proud you are my brother.

REAL MEN! Who are not scared to stare in the face of death when the time comes, because they know that they’re striving for a better future, and better life and a peaceful life.

So here I, an anonymous Rebel salute these brothers who dream to make the world a better place not just for themselves and for the families but for the generations to come. The very men who love, protect, and cherish the women and stand by them when everyone walks out. We are your sisters and proud of you, our hopes, dreams and prayers may always be with you.

Just as Khawlah Bint Al-Azwar an extraordinary woman from the early years of Islam who fought for the freedom of her brother Dirar bint Al Azwar, said;

“I'm only a woman whose heart is burning.”
