“What is the closest thing to us in this world?” then his students
answered with various things : parents, teachers, friends, and
relatives. Hearing those answers, Imam Al Ghazali said “None of those
were wrong, but the closest thing to us is death, because it’s already a
promise of Allah SWT that every living things would face death.
